THE REVIEW:

The Haier CJ30M is a no frills and simple dehumidifier. It has received positive reviews from those who have purchased the unit; with most people commenting on how sturdy and well built the unit feels. The Haier CJ3m does not have some other advanced features of other models on the market and the control panel is non digital. However this can work as an advantage as there is less chance of an electronic malfunction. (Generally when dehumidifiers break down it’s the electronics or the fan).

Many users have commented on the simplicity of its design and how very easy it is to use, as there are only 2 settings. On/Off and Low fan/High fan.

The unit appears to be reliable but is not as slick and modern as other models, and has a slightly dated feel to its look and design. Its important to note that the larger the pint capacity of the dehumidifier the more energy efficient the unit is going to be (see the video on the home page or the buyers guide for reasons why), in this respect the Haier 35 pint is not the most efficient dehumidifier on the market for its size. It means you would have to leave it on for longer to get the same amount of dehumidification when compared to other units in its class; as most humidifiers can pull 40-70 pints of water from the air in 24 hours.

Recommendation

Overall we would recommend the Haier 35 Pint Mechanical Dehumidifier because of its ease of use; it is probably the most user friendly dehumidifier on the market although it has the least amount of features. If you are not planning on running the unit for long periods throughout the day in either a basement or inside your main living area the Haier 35 dehumidifierst is a good purchase.

The unit is reliable less likely to break down as some users have experienced with more advanced units. However if you plan on using this humidifier for ling periods during the day then we would encourage you to try one of the more energy efficient units we have reviewed, as the running costs for this unit could be significantly higher.
